Scheduler of Nursing Department/Nursing Administrative Assistant

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Administrative Assistant's/Scheduler's primary responsibility will be to complete scheduling and work assignments for all nursing personnel.
Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft products.
Specific Tasks:
Maintain and monitor scheduling for the nursing department.
Monitor and cover call-ins.
Monitor and record absenteeism of the nursing department.
Maintain a record of SRNA's continuing education requirements.
Notify DON when someone is nearing non-compliance.
Maintain up to date records of C N A Licensure.
Complete the daily schedule sheets weekly and post timely.
Complete timesheets for payroll in a timely manner.
Must be able to obtain confidentiality at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school graduate with post-secondary training in office administration.
One to two years of experience desired.
Proficient in use of the English language, spelling and grammar.
Computer and typing skills.
Basic secretarial skills.
Ability to interact effectively with employees, residents, visitors and staff.
Organizational and planning skills.
Ability to perform detailed work.
