JOB DUTIES:
1.
Consistently promotes and practices safe work procedures, wears required protective equipment, offers suggestions for safety improvements and holds others accountable for adherence to safety standards by enforcing policies and procedures.
2.
Clearly understands and proactively supports the Company's quality policy and takes appropriate steps to minimize Customer returns while enhancing overall Customer satisfaction.
3.
Follows established procedures and job instructions to ensure that all work products meet or exceed Customer expectations; takes an active role in qualifying parts to ensure that all specifications are within acceptable range and free of defects.
4.
Ensures that all applicable job instructions, parameter documentation, visual aids and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are accessible and understood by Production Associates by providing appropriate guidance, direction and clarification as necessary.
5.
Provides support to Associates by adhering to established production procedures including Stop - Call - Wait whereby, appropriate and timely responses are applied to production/quality issues.
6.
Develops and manages a daily production plan based on the approved production schedule and customer expectations.
7.
Initiates and monitors the repair and/or improvement of equipment; escalates open issues to other resources (e.
g.
, Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, etc.
) to drive closure.
8.
Communicates effectively with Production Associates and other appropriate indirect support functions to achieve target goals for safety, quality (PPM), production, scrap and overtime.
9.
Accurately and neatly completes all paperwork necessary to effectively track KPIs within area of responsibility included, but not limited to:
payroll, requests for time off, accident reports, production data and plans.
10.
Facilitates an effective and interactive Daily Startup meeting with Production Associates prior to commencing work.
11.
Control and manage the resources within immediate area including manpower, material resources, and equipment, and to utilize these resources in a cost effective manner including breaks, lunch, and start/stop activities.
12.
Assure all housekeeping standards (5S) are maintained at all times.
13.
Enforces all work standards and effectively leverages disciplinary action to achieve accountability.

Utilizes the Plan-Do-Check-Action methodology to promote and achieve improvement by taking responsibility to schedule, implement, review and verify improvement ideas.
15.
Effectively trains Associates (both primary and backup) on safety rules, quality enhancements, standardized work, changed procedures and visual aids; maintains accurate records of Associate training at all times.
16.
Ensures the proper handling of all recycled material to support and promote environmental goals and objectives.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Must possess exceptional people management skills.

RESPONSIBILITY:
1.
Maintain a safe working environment that promotes accident free work.
Correct all unsafe conditions and act upon any unsafe action by employees.
Investigation of accidents, recommendation and implementation of countermeasures.

Responsible for maintaining effective discipline levels.

Responsible for operating within ISO/TS 16949 guidelines and to assure all activity within the incumbent's scope of responsibility follow the same.

Monitor and investigate all non-standard conditions in work area (machine breakdown, procedure breakdown, etc.
) and institute corrections.

SUPERVISION REQUIRED:
This position reports to the Focus Factory Manager and is expected to operate with little to moderate direction given.
